Thanks to close relationships with the public and private sectors, Western is undergoing a true renaissance in the establishment of cutting-edge research facilities. One of these is the Biotron, a research facility that allows for the reconstruction of entire ecosystems within a controlled environment. Scientists from a broad range of disciplines – including environmental science, agriculture, medicine and engineering – will be able to conduct collaborative experiments.
