Secondary School (Canada) Applicants

For applicants studying a Canadian secondary school curriculum other than the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to first-year on the basis of a Grade 12 diploma from a province outside Ontario, you must obtain a minimum B+ average as calculated by Western. Grade 12 English is required for all programs and is included in your admission average. For courses taken more than once, the highest reported successful grade will be used in the calculation.  Upgrading in certain subjects, particularly Calculus, may be required during first-year to satisfy admission or progression requirements for specific programs.

Applications should be submitted in the Fall prior to the year in which you are seeking admission. Self Reported Grade Forms should be submitted as soon as an applicant receives mid year grades.    If you are attending a secondary school outside Ontario, you are also eligible to fill out either the Special Consideration or the Extraordinary Contributions to Citizenship & Extracurricular Activities Profile.
